Introduction: The Awe of His Presence
Belonging to the biblical God means standing in the shadow of an overwhelming, awe-inspiring majesty. As we look at the vastness of His creation and the depth of His sovereignty, our natural response is one of holy fear and deep reverence—Eru ogore mabami (the fear of Your glory overwhelms me). The God of the Bible is not a distant, passive observer. He is the active, breathing Source of all existence, the Elemi Ogo (the Custodian of Glory), who sits enthroned above the heavens.
I. The Multidimensional God of Splendor
The scriptures reveal God through His unmatched attributes. He is the Alpha and the Omega, spanning across time and eternity:
- The Crowned King (Alade Ogo): He rules with absolute, undisputed authority over all nations and spiritual realms.
- The Author and Finisher (Ashaju and Igbeyin Ogo): As Isaiah 46:10 reminds us, He declares the end from the beginning. He is the vanguard who fights our battles before we arrive, and the rearguard who secures our future.
- The Beautiful Savior (Elewa ninu Ogo): His holiness is not rigid or cold; it is beautiful and radiant, attracting the broken and restoring the weary.
II. A Covenant Sealed in Blood
The foundation of our relationship with the biblical God is an unshakeable covenant. Unlike human promises that shift with the wind, God’s decrees are final and eternal (Raye aini kpekun).
- The Ultimate Sacrifice: Under the New Covenant, our lives and our very life force are bought with a price—the precious blood of Jesus Christ (Eje mi si Olorun ni). Because of this blood covenant, we are granted a clean, zero-slate initialization. Romans 8:1 declares that there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. The past is erased, and a new boundary of grace is established.
III. The Swiftness of His Deliverance
When God moves on behalf of His children, He does not delay, hesitate, or treat our words with negligence (Ko fi oro mi jafara rara). The Bible is filled with moments of immediate, sudden divine intervention:
- The Triune Host (Meta Lokan): Operating in perfect unity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—the full weight of heaven’s power is deployed to protect and preserve.
- Angelic Protection: Just as the prophets were surrounded by chariots of fire, God dispatches His heavenly hosts (the strength of Michael, the swiftness of Gabriel, and the healing of Raphael) to build an impenetrable perimeter around those who rely completely on Him (Agbara ti mo gbojule).
IV. Glory Made Tangible
Finally, the glory of the biblical God is not confined to the spiritual realm; it breaks into our physical reality (Oun she ogo lori items).
- When God blesses you, His favor attaches itself to your daily life, your assets, your clothing, and your coming and going.
- Like the oil that flowed down Aaron’s beard onto the hem of his garments, His splendor becomes a tangible, visible shield. It is a wondrous, mysterious manifestation (Aramada lo yi wonka) that causes the world to look on in absolute wonder.
Conclusion: It is Settled
If the Father has spoken a word over your life, if He has promised to step into your circumstances today, and if He has already orchestrated your victories for tomorrow, then there is only one final response required from the believer:
