- Men who diagnosed her as hyperactive: Diagnosed in her early teens as hyperactive, she stopped moving only to sleep, take three showers a day and talk on the telephone.
- Men who thought she was a big hearted pain: Maureen & Rose was a big-hearted pain who craved attention and nearly everyone who knew her knew it.
- Men who thought she was a headache. “She could have a headache and a half,” The Mother of Rose Larner, Rose Markey said. “If she were kidnapped for ransom, the kidnappers would pay me to take her back.”
